WV Rivers News: You Can Help Water, 25th Party, Calling All Volunteers

Water Under Attack – Get Involved!

We’ve been at the WV Capitol nearly every day defending against new efforts to unravel water protections. Some of what we’re facing:
  • Bills that would remove regulations for 99.8% of aboveground storage tanks;
  • An amendment that would eliminate drinking water protections for 31,000 stream miles statewide;
  • A bill that relieves coal companies from meeting water quality standards in their pollution permits and drastically weakens limits on aluminum pollution in our streams.
We need your voice to back us up. Get informed and involved by signing up for WV Rivers Policy Updates. We'll send you a weekly summary of all the discussions and decisions concerning West Virginia's water resources and what you can do to keep our rivers healthy. To view past issues click here.
