Medication Take-Back Day Saturday, Sept. 26

posted Sep 24, 2015, 5:43 AM by Kathleen Tyner

This Saturday, September 26 is the DEA National Take-Back Initiative. This is an opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinet and bring ALL your unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications for proper disposal. When medications are tossed in the trash or flushed down the toilet they are introduced in to our waterways. Help protect our water and bring your medications to a DEA National Take-Back Initiative location near you.

If you can not make it to the National Take-Back Initiative West Virginia Rivers Coalition offers the West Virginia Consumer Drug Return Partnership, a network of permanent  medication collection sites located in pharmacies throughout the state. These sites provide environmentally sensitive disposal of non-controlled substances.
