We Are Giving Away a WVRC Prize Pack!

Tell us about your favorite WV summer time hang out.  Whether you like swimming in Summersville Reservoir, kayaking the Gauley, rafting the Shenandoah or just relaxing alongside a lazy river we want to hear about it!  Send your stories and pictures to ktyner@wvrivers or post them on the WVRC facebook page. “Select Committee” Appointed to Tackle Marcellus Shale Legislation

As natural gas development in the Marcellus shale continues West Virginia state regulators are playing catch up.  The Speaker of the House and the Acting Senate President have tasked a ten member team, known as the “Select Committee”, to develop a bill that both the Senate and the House can agree upon.  The Select Committee, comprised of five house members and five senate members, will meet July 11-13th to work on the development of legislation.  Please follow this Action Alert to lend your voice in support of strong legislation regulating Marcellus shale development.
